The Pakistan Navy safeguards Pakistan’s maritime interests and defends its coastal borders as the naval warfare branch of the Pakistan Armed Forces. It operates a large fleet of ships and submarines, including frigates, destroyers, and patrol boats, as well as aircraft like maritime patrol and reconnaissance planes and helicopters.

The primary mission of the Navy is to protect Pakistan’s maritime trade routes and conduct maritime patrols, as well as provide security for the country’s offshore oil and gas platforms.
